Florida’s “bathroom bill” would require transgender people to prove legal gender before entry in any public restroom and makes it a first-degree misdemeanor if a person born male purposefully enters a women’s room, and a person born female goes into a men’s room.
The bill was introduced last month by Frank Artiles and passed Wednesday under HB 583.
