Every time I hear this song (link below), I can’t help but turn up the volume and worship God wherever I am. In my car, in my room, while I’m washing the dishes.. It’s just such an uplifting song and it never ceases to put a smile on my face. If you’ve really paid attention to the words then you know exactly what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, then go do that right now!
It’s no secret that we are living in the end times, and as Christians, we have so many battles to overcome. The devil is coming up with new ways to tempt you and pull you further away from God this very second. And no matter how prepared you are, it can be quite difficult to stay true to your faith. But I have so much joy and confidence in knowing that we can lift our white flag and surrender everything we have to Christ, just as Chris Tomlin sings in this absolutely beautiful song.
God already took care of it all. He showed His love by sending His only son to die on the cross for us, and His love has won! Jesus already paid the price and then rose three days later. He took our rightful place on that cross so that we may be free from our bondage of sin and have everlasting life. Romans 6:22 says, “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” What a great reassurance it is to know that all you have to do is commit to live a holy life for God in order to live eternally.
And these battles that we constantly have to fight? Well when we submit our lives to Christ, the war that the devil is waging against our souls is already over. If God is for us, who can be against us? Christ’s love has prevailed and He will help you win every other battle so that you may reside with Him in Heaven when your time comes.
And even when it gets difficult, remember that we are more than conquerors through Christ.
Romans 8:37-39 reads, “..In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
What a blessing!
Join me in lifting the cross and raising my white flag, and be blessed:)
